I've had to modify a resv by a couple hours because of an arrival time. The total increased a little because of the extra 2 hours we had the car, but not the base rate.

I made a car reservation on the Orbitz website and selected AVIS as they charged far less for a one-way. Orbitz gave me their locator number as well as the AVIS reference number. Through Expedia; Enterprise is the cheapest with their compact cars, ranging from $382 to Avis’ $400 (which is what i was thinking about booking, the price through their company is $800 for the same amount of time), Budget seems the most expensive ranging from $500-$700, just through a third-party rental company.

Most rental car companies don’t have a drop off charge but the daily rate could be higher. After picking up a car at the rental car center this Thursday night I’m returning the car to Avis at Mandalay Bay on Friday which the reservation clearly shows as the drop off location along with the total charges, there won’t be any additional charges.
