So I purchased an Unlimited Vacation Club White Pearl membership package while staying at the Dreams Jade resort in Cancun about 3 years ago. I have since stayed at several Dreams resorts since this purchased was made and we had always received the Preferred Club benefits with each stay.

Apple’s service was outstanding. I only wish Apple would have warned me. Unfortunately during our vacation I allowed myself to buy into a scam. I am very frustrated and disappointed that I allowed myself to be deceived into making the worse financial decision I have ever made – to join the Unlimited Vacation Club. Only $7800.

Perth, Australia. 1 post. 1. Re: Wyndham fraud/scam. 5 years ago. I have been a Wyndham member (sucker) since 2006. Thirteen years ago I parted with AU$26,000 to purchase the 9,000 annual credits and in addition pay $76.61 each and every month as a 'levie'. In effect another $1,000 per year.
The Melia.com website offers us the same stay at the same hotel for all members of our family with the all-inclusive for $1,856.48, plus at the moment $1,100 of resort credit. B) we were offered the option to pay $51 and convert to 139,500 Melia Rewards options. Now my investment is of $1405 plus $51, $1,456.
This past December we purchased a Holiday Inn Club Vacation timeshare from Orange Lake Resorts while at a “free” 3-night stay in New Orleans. We purchased 50,000 points for the discounted price of $11,000 which came to $12,731.25 with closing costs. They did not honor the contract so we contacted Florida Dept. of Agricultural and Consumer Services (850-410-3764), Seniors versus Crime (352-249-9139), Federal Trade Commission (877-382-4357) and the Better Business Bureau. It took almost 2 months but we did get a full refund.
