We just booked our trip to Hawaii through Costco after talking to a few other travel agents. Costco gave us a similar package to the others (a local, independent travel agency and Liberty Travel) and the Costco travel agency offered more 'extras' and was about $2,000 less than the others. We booked our trip after our 3rd call to Costco.
Lots of people seem to book vacation packages to Maui through Costco. From what we hear on the forum most are very happy with the experience. We booked a Costco package for two to Maui Hyatt a couple years ago. It beat all other deals I researched by $400. We liked all the extras it included: daily breakfast and the resort fees were covered. Last year I found a better deal on Pleasant Holiday and this year we found a better deal by booking everything separately.
All of our travel partner companies rate our resort in the 3 to 3½ star range. Throughout the 27 acre resort, we offer 2 full-service restaurants, 3 outdoor pools, 10 tennis courts, a poolside bar, a nightly Luau dinner show, retail shops, and much more.
About $4828 for 3 of us plus another $54/day for parking/resort. Includes airfare, hotel, full-size car and: * Two-for-one admission to Drums of the Pacific Luau. * $100 food and beverage credit (per room, per stay) *Daily buffet breakfast for two at Swan Court.
