Celestino is very nice and helpful. The price was much better than from the competitors. Included full insurance. Shuttle from the airport to the rental station took less than a minute, it's just outside, more or less across the street. I fully recommend Celestino and his Advance Car Rental.
20 reviews. 29 helpful votes. 9. Re: Reviews on Advantage car rental. 6 years ago. We did not have a great experience with our first try with Advantage last year, so would not use them again. The rental agency isn't as convenient. We had to stand in line for a long time to get our rental.
The best thing to do is join the “club” of that rental agency and make sure your number is on the reservation. Most rental companies have a special shorter line for those people that used the loyalty club. Alamo and Hertz seem the best with the ability to skip counters and go straight to car with their clubs.
Save. I notice Advantage Car rental (through Discount Hawaii Car rental) is approximately $500 cheaper than all of the other majors over our 14 day vacation period. I notice in some earlier TA forums that one of the complaints was the waiting time. Has anyone used this Advantage/Discount package out of OGG and had any bad instances (or good).
