19 years ago. July temperatures can get as high as 115 durng the heat of the day. Hottest time of the day is generally 2-4p. Casinos are all airconditioned and don't expect it to cool off too much at night. 100 degree lows, yes folks I did type LOWS are not uncommon during July and August. Drink lots ad lots of water.

Weather will be hot but in July and August it becomes extremely hot so that many of the people in this forum will take a pass on Vegas. My Bday is August 1 and it is incredibly dry and hot that time in Vegas.
12 years ago. We were there a couple of years ago when July set the all-time highest average temperature in Las Vegas history. It broke 100 degrees every day, but I don't think it ever went over 108. What really mattered was that the COOLEST it ever got in the entire 31 day was 84 degrees.
Ironically the wife and I traveled last 4th of july and it was funny because it was pleasant temps (high 90s) and it rained for like 3 hours which was the first time we had seen it rain in the desert.
Vegas doesn't do a big July 4th- at least not on the strip. There was nothing compared to other major cities. Most of the events take place in the residential areas. The best one was Red White and Boom- and even that was been cancelled years ago.
1. Re: Advice for Fourth of July in Vegas. 8 years ago. Save. No they do not shoot off fireworks on the strip on the 4th of July like they do on NYE. Two of the Station Casinos shoot them off. Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch. Caesars Palace, Stratosphere, Mandalay Bay will shoot them off.
