This is actually not a question, just an observation since the airport itself doesn't seem to have a review page on Tripadvisor. We recently travelled from Columbus Ohio to Calgary via Toronto on Canada Air. The trip out to Calgary went without a hitch.
Re: International arrival at Pearson Toronto airport, wait times. 2 years ago. We arrived last night at about 8.40pm, we spent an hour waiting on the plane to disembark and then 2 hours in a queue! Not a great experience, but at least we didn’t get selected for a random COVID test! Edited: 2 years ago.

Although your luggage should go smoothly to Vancouver, the reality is that it may not. It may sit in limbo in one of the many mountains of lost luggage.
Re: Currency exchange at the Pearson airport, arrival level. 1 year ago. If the CIBC counter service is open when your flight gets in, you can exchange your USD there (the ATM is always available). If not, then you'd have to use the ICE exchange. There are locations throughout the terminal, on the various levels.
The baggage system in Toronto Pearson is really slow. I've had experience of waiting for an hour before my luggage arrives. i have flight arrived at 2AM from the US and with luggage, it took me about an hour to clear immigration, luggage, and custom.
