We charge the full rental cost to our AMEX card and opt for their premium car rental insurance, which makes them the primary insurance company, NOT the secondary insurer as some credit card programs are. We rented a car from Alamo for our two weeks and despite having our own California car insurance , they tried to sell us extra for $370 more !
