People who live here usually refer to POG or any other type of fruit flavored drink (Aloha Maid drinks, fruit punch, etc.) as "juice" - altho' everyone knows it is about 99.9% sugar! lol There is a little fruit juice in there somewhere though! Still - it's what it is called! Malama Pono, Janet
POG (passion - orange - guava) is a juice blend that is mostly sugar and water with some juice. For those who want a non-alcoholic mixer, POG is also yummy with Sierra Mist soda. I find it cuts the sweetness just enough, and when I use diet soda, I can drink twice as much POG for the same calories! I found a recipe for POG at this link about a year ago but haven't tried it yet. Maybe on my Maui trip in May (less than 12 weeks to go!).
