12 years ago. You're correct. The same time zone applies from PV to Rincon de Guayabitos / La Penita. So anywhere within an hour or hour-and-a-half's drive from PV is on the same time. This was just instituted last year, and makes life so much easier for businesses and Tourists alike. Report inappropriate content.
