    Last week AA wanted $2000+ to upgrade from PE to Business, yesterday it was $700 and today (45 days out) it dropped to $350. Highly doubt it goes lower than that. Also, keep on checking the fare on your current itinerary. If a new fare is lower than the fare you paid pick up the phone and call AA requesting a travel credit.

The difference has to do with things like towing distances needed if you car broke down and you needed a tow. I manly drive within 5 miles of where I live.

Actually, I was on the BA website today and saw fares between JFK and LHR or LGW (BA also serves EWR) in mid-late August for less than $2500, more like $2300 - $ 2400.RT I have paid nearly as much for premium economy.
