and it has worked great. I didn't need to make calls on it but they also have add ons from £10 for 6GB which have unlimited UK calls. They will post SIM's internationally. If you need to call internationally then use Skype. If you put $5 on your account you can call internationally to landlines for 2.4c US. That only used data on your phone.
Well, that's what is stated at time of purchase. But, my balance (according to MyLebara) is valid through 12-31-2036. However, to keep the phone number active, you must (all from the Lebara website) "For a Lebara SIM to remain active you will need to make a top up or chargeable call/text within a 90 day period.
