Orbitz is a reputable site. If all flights go as planned- chances are you will have a good experience. Most issues with 3rd party sites usually stem from flight changes, cancellations, refunds, etc... Booking direct with the airline is recommended and preferred. Edited: 11 years ago.
Totally agreed with "Beware of Orbitz Travels" We booked the travel plans from multiple flights plan through Orbitz 3 months in advance from main land U.S to Big Island, Hawaii to Maui and Maui returns to main land U.S. Surprisingly, we found out through a friend that one of the inter-island flight name Pacific Wings shut down their operations starting June 12th!

13 years ago. Double-check to make sure the Orbitz flight includes all taxes & fees. These can be considerable. I booked a flight U.S. to Peru with Orbitz for an AA-LAN codeshare a few years ago -- rates were about $300 less than on either airline's website. No problems at all with the booking or Orbitz services.
