Priceline is a scam and their Customer Service Reps are greedy, useless, lairs. I booked my room and paid fully. The hotel overbooked. I have an email from the GM stating they refunded Priceline and Priceline owes me a refund. Priceline is now claiming I was a no-show and they're not going to refund my fully paid room.
So no, Priceline did not "rob" your mother. If you look through other threads on this forum, you will see similar complaints where people have made duplicate purchases in these sort of situations. It has happened on other OTA websites besides Priceline and also when people have booked directly with an airline.
