Hi we were the same way. I’d say the Wolf pass for him would be worth it and the food credit definitely not. I wouldn’t get the family pass like we did since I really didn’t need ice cream, candy, etc. It was good to get the $5 arcade, bowling which is $7 each, mini golf, rock climbing, ropes course etc. over a year ago.

At the time they were advertising opening days/hours for a number of the super sites but when we got there they were closed (e.g. Palatine Museum & Aula Isiaca, Domitian's Ramp).
ItaliaRail says the pass gives "discounted stays at top city center hotels to deals on popular tours and activities, dining, shopping, and more", but says nothing about which hotels, tour companies, restaurants, shops, etc., participate in the scheme. Based only on the ItaliaRail web site, I would walk rapidly away.
The first day I was thinking about getting the sightseeing pass. We hope to visit Broadway, Music Row, Hatch Show print, Tenn capital building, Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash museum, Printers alley and the Farmers Market. The second day we will do Grand ole opry, Opryland and the Hermitage.

The price makes them uneconomic for the usual hiker activity of choosing a lift and either going up and hiking down, or going up, hiking around and then going down. The pass only really becomes economic if you’re using multiple lifts in a day, which most people don’t.
