   5 years ago. If I use Autoeurope, I always go with an international rental company (Hertz, Europcar, Avis/Budget, etc). They all do a good job in Spain. My experience is different from yours in France and Italy. I usually rent from Europcar through Autoeurope since they don't charge a one-way fee.
