I recently have been looking for a rental with unlimited miles myself. Some car rentals like avis and budget advertise unlimited miles, but read the fine print. They often limit the so called "unlimited miles" to only a handful of states, with a 25 - 35 cent/mile surcharge for any miles outside of those states.

I do not need their insurance so I thought the cost would be the quoted rate plus insurance. However, Hertz added on, taxes plus fees of $17.91, or 49%.
