For the current trip, I got quotes from both of these companies and also this time from Allianz. In the quote I received, Allianz provides better benefits for less money.

When we filed a claim with them because a travel agent booked us on an airline that went out of business, AMEX gave us such a runaround that we eventually gave up and ate about $600.
