From there you are dealing with the rental car company as you would normally. Car rental rates in Florida have been outrageous for the last few years. What I do is book the cheapest rate I can find, that I can cancel without penalty and then keep looking for cheaper rates and rebook if/when I find one.

Answer 1 of 10: I have a car rented through Enterprise for 348 for March 24- March 30 Seems high to me as it is just a compact car. All other companies are pretty much the same.

Thanks everyone. We are going early September so in about 4 weeks. Thanks for the promo code, I tried that but it didn't work - I'll get rid of the # and try again. I read mishy_moshy review - really useful. Still going to go with a small car though as I cant afford a 4WD with my budget! I'll get the sand and ash insurance though.
