On line they rent you a small car. Guess what- they don’t have one small car on the lot so they tell you you have to upgrade. It’s a simple bait and switch scam. Never, never, never rent from EZ or Advantage. They are scammers. The staff are zombies, I suppose they need a job but are going through the motions.

Anecdotal experiences from postings here and other forums is that companies called "EZ", "Payless", etc never are easy and you might pay less, but at a huge cost of time and service.

I also meant to add that the tolls themselves are cheaper when you use EZ Pass. For instance, the toll from Logan Airport to Newton is $1.50 with a Massachusetts EZ Pass, $1.75 with an EZ Pass issued by another state, and $2.05 if you have no transponder and are billed by mail. We signed up for the Dollar Express and we bypass the line inside which is always about 40 people in line and when we get to the garage there isn't anyone in line.
This is the worst car rental company I have ever dealt with in my life, in fact in San Juan Puerto Rico. Don't even get close to renting a car from this company or any of the Allied Rental Co. Once they rent you the car, their customer service rating is 0; totally unreliable and not trustable. They even increased my daily rates without my approval.
