    e. Name your own price (NYOP) is a pricing strategy [1] under which buyers make a suggestion for a product’s price (unlike the traditional way where sellers quote a certain price) and the transaction occurs only if a seller accepts this quoted price. [2] What happens is that the seller waits for a potential buyer's offer and can then either ...

The bidding for travel days are not over. Rather, Priceline operates in 2 modes and to get to the "name your own price" part of their website it is necessary on the first screen to click on the "bid now" link rather than input your trip parameters at the top of the page and click "search now". They certainly don't make this obvious to the ...

It is home to two carriers- China Airlines (CI) and EVA Air (BR) with the former being reasonably well known for offering more value-oriented fares to/from Asia than some of the other more ...

Hello Travelers! Priceline.com has a feature called 'Name Your Own Price' and I believe the way it works is you enter a price that you'd be willing to pay for a flight to wherever it is that you'd like to go, and if they find an airline who accepts your offer, your credit card will automatically be charged and you'll be booked on that flight.

There is a wealth of information there. In exchange for all that help, they ask that you use their links to Priceline (and Hotwire) when you are ready to start searching. The site also has lists of hotels that participate, which can help you get an idea of the hotels you could end up with, if you use these services.

Re: Experience with Priceline 'Name your own Price'? 13 years ago. I use Priceline & Hotwire a lot, though in the South ( Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville) a better rate & often better room ---is to check the lowest bids on both. (Priceline, Hotwire)., then call the hotel you think it is directly, speak to the Manager ...

Thanks for the reply Gracie-boo. Going through the airlines' websites is very pricey seeing that I'm travelling year end. The disclaimer on Priceline says a maximum of one connection -- but it does qualify that by saying it can be up to a 24 hour layover.
