Hello Travelers! Priceline.com has a feature called 'Name Your Own Price' and I believe the way it works is you enter a price that you'd be willing to pay for a flight to wherever it is that you'd like to go, and if they find an airline who accepts your offer, your credit card will automatically be charged and you'll be booked on that flight.
I've never used Priceline for airlines, as I simply can't allow myself the buy an airline ticket for a completely unknown time. However, I've used it MANY times for hotels (and a few times for car rentals), and have never been disappointed. "Name Your Own Price" is still alive and well at Priceline - you just have to click on the link.

Not too useful anymore for airline bookings. If you read their guidelines, it will tell you the most connections you can expect, etc. Most planes are flying pretty full, and many airlines have cut their routes, so I have not read of many people getting great bargains on "name your own price" for airfare.

Priceline.com, an online travel agency offered a name your own price option. However, by 2005, Priceline began to de-emphasize this system, and added published price options on its websites.
4. Re: Priceline name your own price for flights. bk_t1, If you are familiar with priceline, you probably know that there is a big difference between using priceline for booking accomodation, and using priceline for booking flights. It is not at all the same question.
