Hi half-Brit. I have used Priceline for car rental and just used the insurance provided by my credit card. I go to Hotwire and do a dummy booking. Then I take that rate and subtract about 15% to get the amount to bid on Priceline.
I got cheated on a rental car by them. Last March while in Colorado I rented a car for 24 hours, one way to go to an airport. AFTER all the info, charge, etc went thru, they CHANGED my drop off point to a location 1.5 hours away from where I needed to be.
