12 years ago. Almost all retail stores will be closed on Dec 25. On Dec 24th, most big stores will be open very early (some will have been open all night), but will close early for X-mas eve. 6pm is a common time to close on X-mas eve. Dec 26 is a very popular shopping day for after X-mas sales.

12 hours of Christmas in NYC. 1 year ago. My family and I are riding a charter bus to NYC the weekend of the 16th. We'll have around 12 hours on Saturday to explore the city. We've been a couple of times for vacation but never at Christmas. (son's girlfriend has never been) We are so excited! We'll be dropped off and meet back near Times Square.

Have been doing a lot of research and listened to some very helpful advice on here and have a revised itinerary for a 4 night family trip to New York 8th to 12th December.
