5. Re: Hertz Gold membership question. 6 years ago. No, you need to have the GR number on the reservation to qualify for the service, which basically means they pre- allocate a car to you which you can just go to the garage and drive off in, depending on the location arrangements.
So for instance in the corner of my booking screen is a 'gold members' button and when I click on that and click through 'overview' and 'value' it says "Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members: Enjoy members’ only discounts; Pay no additional driver fees for a spouse or domestic partner"

Join the Hertz Gold membership loyalty program (doesn't cost anything). Book ahead of time. Hertz has good roadside assistance included if you need it during your road trip. As mentioned Thrifty is owned by Hertz. Some neighborhood Hertz locations have Thrifty logos as well as Hertz and it's the Hertz employees who assist you. Some do not.
12 years ago. I joined Hertz Gold Club earlier this year while they were offering it free of charge, and made a booking for a car for my holiday last 2 weeks of April. Upon arrival at MCO I switched on my mobile and received an E-mail from Hertz stating which car I had been allocated and in which bay it was located.

Join the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program and link your reservation to your account. Make sure to enter credit card information in you Rewards account as well as drivers license. We do this and never wait unless they are literally out of cars and have to prepare one for us. Hopefully this will apply to reservations from New Zealand as well.
Answer 1 of 4: We have a car reserved through Hertz but didn't link that reservation to our Gold rewards account. Wondering if it's possible to get it linked without cancelling and rebooking - which is what the website says we have to do?
