As far as I can tell, Waze, Google, Mapquest, and many others have eliminated the ability to map driving directions using the shortest driving miles rather than driving time. Since, I never drive fast and hate patronizing interstates as much as root canal surgery, is there any free way to determine the shortest driving miles for a roadtrip?

Haven't been on one for a few years and I'll swear I used to use google maps but for the life of me I can't get it to work the way it used to i.e. start points via place via place etc ...
I'm planning a long driving itinerary in Andalucia Spain and I want to be able to enter a ton of stops -- like maybe 50 or so -- into an online route planner. It's not so much for driving directions (I'll have GPS) as it is for me to be able to get a sense of the whole route and how much time it will take to get from A to B to C to D to etc.
Re: Route planner with timing between stops. Aug 10, 2023, 3:29 PM. For this case we always use Google Maps. There you'll see the travel times, if you always drive the highest available speed, without traffic jams, road building or stops for any reason. So if you add about 30 % of the time, AND the stops for food, you'll have the needed time.
