   Answer 1 of 10: I've never used priceline but have been reading alot about it on the boards. I currently have a pretty good price with Alamo ($19 per day) for mid size car for a 3 week trip in the fall. This is using my costco membership discount.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    -Hawaiian airlines discount with Avis: K816401 (This one tends to be the cheapest)-Island air discount with Budget: U030087-Other rental car options include Discount hawaii car rental, Adventures rent-a-jeep (used cheap 4x4s), Costco, Priceline and Expedia. I'm sure there are lots more options, but found these to be the best.

   They are offering additional Total Coverage for $16 a day that includes 0% deductible, medical expenses, and etc on their site. However Priceline has the same car at Mex Rent A Car at 1/3 of the price. Although Priceline offers their insurance, I read to not go with a 3rd party policy because it does not cover Mexico.

If I had not gotten the bid I would have gone with Costco / Alamo, and their prices for midsized, standard, and full size were all the same.
