Re: Florida car seat laws and bringing your own car seats. 7 year old doesn't need anything outside of a seat belt. 5 year old, per Florida law, also isn't required to have anything other than a seat belt if they can wear one comfortably. I personally would have the 5 year old in a booster seat.

The girl started to do the usual upsell on insurance, but then advised that our rental covered everything. She then specifically said don’t fill up the car, return it empty.
Toll Charges from Budget Car Rental. 10 years ago. I spoke with Budget Rental cars twice and was told that this is an OPEN ROAD TOLL on the Bee-Line West for $1.00. There is NO WAY to pay this toll in cash [as per Florida DOT].Budget is aware and charges ALL rentals leaving Orlando airport heading west [$1.00 plus $16.75 fee from Budget].
I can stand corrected if wrong. Although the sticker is only $5, you may or may not get it off the windshield. The portable transponder with the suction cups is going to cost more than the $19.75 maximum admin fees charged by rental's toll program. If you plan on returning to Florida, I would get a portable transponder.
