They come on a long strap that you hang around your neck, punch in a number and then hold to your ear when required. There is nowhere to plug in your own earbuds - same for the Roman Forum /Palatine.

    John, find out immediately from your card issuer if it will work overseas at all. In any case, withour a chip, it may not work in many places.
