   Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. We rented from SIXT in Santa Monica, keeping the car for a full month. They are the oldest car rental in the world, beginning in 1920’s in Europe. They were accommodating and friendly, upgrading us to a minivan at no extra cost, which made driving with guests comfortable for all.

   I opened my credit card today and saw an extra 89.00 charge from Sixt saying "actual cost of the car" then minus the "pre-paid voucher". Thus the extra charge. First of all we did not get the car we ordered. We got some crappy old Jeep Cherokee that ran horribly and was a gas guzzler. I used to like Sixt but the Sixt Maui is crooked.
