This was great! It was a train directly from Denver International to Union Station, downtown Denver. For $9 you get on and don't have to pay for a taxi or worry about a shuttle. You probably would want transportation in the winter from Union Station to your hotel, but if the weather is nice you don't. This was great to not worry about a taxi.

The hotel website says they have transportation to/from the airport for a charge. Call them and see how much. Otherwise there are shuttle Vans, and the RTD Skyride, a bus that goes from DIA to downtown.
I've used the Skyride both to and from the airport on all 3 occasions I've been to Denver over the last year and found it simple, reliable and value for money. In Jan 2012 the fare each way from DIA to the bus station on 16th Street was $11.
