Arriving Heathrow terminal 3 at 6:50am (on Delta) in mid-January for a quick football weekend with my son (COYS!). We have a relatively full day planned, and wanted to shower/change before heading into the city, but most of the available lounges (Delta/Centurion/Priority Pass) appear to serve only outbound or connecting passengers.

There is a Plaza Premium Arrivals lounge at LHR T2 that charges £35 for a two hour stay but then has the temerity to charge another £15 for 'shower amenities'. Hm. Two hours for two people would cost £100, a fairly substantial sum for that short a time.

I'm sure local experts will chime in, but we literally slept on our luggage in terminal 5 for a similar duration. Had to forgo the shower, of course. For about $30, there's a Travelodge in Hounslow, a 10 min Tube ride away.
Another option might be Yotel at T4 which charges £40 for the minimum of 4 hours. It is accessible by the free public buses. I guess he might want to trade off the benefits of the paid lounge (shower plus food and drink and location) with shower and bed options at the hotels.
I am travelling from Toronto to London(6.5 hr flight) in Aug with 2 pre teens and landing in terminal 3 at heathrow however we have an onward flight in 2 hours from terminal 5 to Johannesburg S.Africa(11 Hour flight)and would desperately need to shower .
