Arrive a weekday 2 pm, depart 345 pm. I see nightmare stories from 2022 and 2023 of staff shortages and missed connections.

6. Re: Heathrow Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 - quickest option. If both flights are on the same ticket, definitely follow purple signs for Flight Connections to transfer by bus; it is much faster. Otherwise, if you have to transfer landside, the Heathrow Express train is free between terminals.

We arrive from Barcelona at Terminal 5 on British Air, have a 2 hour layover, then depart to Edinburgh from Terminal 5 on British Air.. While searching an unrelated question, I came across some ominous posts suggesting Heathrow's Terminal 5 is going to be a major problem for making our connecting flight, even though we are arriving and departing from the same terminal.

If you are flying point to point then there shouldn't be an issue other than length of time waiting should your flight arrive at a busy time however if you have a fairly tight change somewhere en route then, as with any tight connection, you could have problems.
