   12. Re: Priceline Scam. Priceline is ABSOLUTELY scamming it’s customers. When they say the “Express Deal” is $20.00 cheaper and they charge you an extra $19.20 in “taxes and fees”, that is my definition of a S-C-A-M. (Fairly easy check - Ramsey MN, 6/17/22 - Comfort Suites).

   I would consider Priceline for a big discount, but not just to save a few bucks. I ended up booking direct with Alamo car rental . I like Alamo because as a member of their free Insiders club I got a small discount (maybe 5%) off the price, but more importantly I can check in online and avoid the airport check in desk by simply going to the lot ...

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    I've been looking for a hotel near Yosemite. Yesterday, I see the room I wanted on Priceline for $110..... about $40 per night less than what I had been seeing on the hotel website. I check the hotel website and see the room is not even showing available. Back to Priceline..... $40 over 3 nights is a $120 savings. The rate is non-refundable.
