They're one of the companies that's always cheapest and that people often have problems with: pushy upsells on the insurance and fuel options, poor quality cars that lack maintenance, extra charges and damage at return.

   If you need to rent a car at Phoenix, Sky Harbor avoid Advantage Car Rental. They show up as the least expensive daily rate on all the services such as Travelocity and Expedia... but it takes 30 plus minutes to get through the line because they spend 15 minutes with each customer trying to talk them into an upgrade and or add on insurance.
