The Chicago Botanic Gardens is free to get in but, there is a flat car entrance fee of $25, discount if you are a senior citizen & Cook County reident. Many people park their car at the Forest Preserve (located on the corner of Lake Cook and Green Bay Roads) or Braeside Train Station and walk to the gardens.

Chicago Botanic Gardens are a great place to visit and worth a few visits throughout the year to see the gardens in different seasons. However the $20 parking is expensive for 2 people. On Sundays in the summer there is a Garden Trolley which takes visitors from Glencoe Metra station to the Gardens for $2 return.

I also regretted paying $25 dollars to park my car and $8 dollars for a Senior Citizen admittance fee entrance to an Orchid Show I didn't get to see. My ADVISE if you are handicapped, avoid the Orchid Show and the Chicago Botanic Garden. My advise to the Chicago Botanic Garden is that you are obviously violating the Americans With Disability Act.
