The building the rooms are housed in a major local landmark and known for its architecture. Unfortunately, the tours are no longer self-guided. You have to take a guided tour.
7. Re: The area surrounding closely University of Pittsburgh. 7 years ago. My memory is that the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, where the universities are located, is a nicer area than the neighborhoods around Temple, Penn, and Drexel. Pittsburgh has trees and hills and Oakland, while being in the city, is on the edge of a large park.
