Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.

I have booked a car for a week through Hertz using my AAA discount. This discount shaves off some money, and gives me unlimited free miles.

So, bad luck I will be month younger than required 25 year old, so I looked up how to avoid urderage surcharge and my europe membership should do the trick (same as AAA).

The total trip will take roughly 2 weeks, so I'm trying to keep the rental cost down. I'm 21 and a AAA member, so Hertz makes the most sense as they waive the under 25 fee for AAA members.

AAA members get the undeage fee waved with Hertz. Join the rental car clubs. They are free to join, give you discounts and allow you to pre fill all the information so you don't have to always stop at the rental counter. The Kiosks are time savers.
46 helpful votes. 4. Re: extra charge on Hertz car rental for being over 65. 12 years ago. I think it's for addng an additional driver, not that he is 65. If you are a AAA card member, I believe additional driver fee is waived. If you are 65 and additional fees are required, that would be age discrimination.
