Reviewed September 3, 2013. El Capitan is a spectacular sight in Yosemite National Park. My wife and hiked from the parking area on Northside Drive. When we got to a side road, we decided to hike up a dried river bed at the end of the road. That path led us right to the base of El Capitan.
