So actually, I could get the weekly rate legitimately if I picked up the car the first day. So my thinking now is pay the $358 weekly rate, plus about $150 for 3 nights of hotel parking. That's about $508, which is still cheaper than the $718 if I waited to rent the car Tuesday.
So I booked a car from SFO Budget and (returning in Oakland) a few months ago for a 9 day trip for $700. The trip now has to be shortened to 6 days and I'll need to return the car early. If I rebook that trip, I'll end up paying $1020 now for the 6 days.
