However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    Speaking of the Hertz and Avis codes, you will see a box where you insert the codes on the booking page. Note: on the AVIS South Africa web site for booking their International Visitors special rates, the AWD box does not appear and would not help you. But on their regular web booking page - both US and South Africa, you will see it.

I have a booking starting 18th July and I emailed them with the code and my booking reference number. They modified the booking and initiated a refund of the discount amount in no time.
