Entered my Hertz rental agreement number and proceeded to pay the $19.50 by my Visa card, here comes the "con", right at the end of the process the dollar sign changed to a pound sign - I was about to be charged £19.50 not $19.50. Time to phone them, and here came another problem they are unable to accept non US credit cards over the phone.

What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.

Hi. Anyone has experience with using hertz rental car going through the tolls of Golden gate bridge, how to pay the toll before/after crossing? Read many warnings by other visitors about the expensive fee charged by Hertz and hence would like to find out advice before going through the toll.

Hertz uses a transponder in some parts of the country, but in Texas, they don't need to because the Texas toll roads read license plates with camers. Hertz charges $5.95 for each day that a toll is incurred, plus the undiscounted toll itself.
