The Stop in Shop is very large with good produce and good prices. There is a great little bakery called the A-Frame bakery about 15 minutes north of you on Rt 7 right where Rt 2 intersects. (1194 Cold Spring Rd. Williamstown, MA 01267) Excellent scones and baked goods. The owner will often special order stuff if you call a day ahead.
You can find everything, from coolers to moisturizers, fresh tortillas, beer, meat, dairy, etc, and they accept U$ dollars too. Across the street, 1 minute-drive South, there's another grocery store, American style, with very good prices as well. (I forgot the name) Report inappropriate content. Denise31281.
As with other retailers that sell groceries, Walmart has put much of its focus on how to deal with historically high food prices for everything from eggs and cereal to bakery and dairy products.
Especially the produce and bakery section. The other Walmarts that we have been to in Mexico were much nicer. We bought some essentials at the Walmart but then picked the remainder of our items at the resorts market which was reasonable priced. I would ask the hotel if there is a closer or better grocery store!
