You can get a "fuel gift card" at any large N1 station (don't know if the other offer one as well. Those can be used at the unmanned N1 stations (who are widespread).-
I just tap my card. A rare few occasions a store will say they don’t have tap, you need to swipe or enter a PIN. A rare few occasions the tap won’t work and it will force me to enter a PIN instead. But you don’t usually need a PIN. Maybe 5 years ago you did. You don’t now. This has been my experience in BC and Alberta recently, anyway.
3. Re: Do I need a PIN to use my credit card. If your card is chip and pin enabled then yes, you do need a 4 digit pin. If your card doesn't have a chip in (only the signature strip on the back) then you will be able to sign for purchases over here.
