Payless Car Rental. 15 years ago. Has Anyone ever rented from Payless. I have rented from Advantage in the past. Their rates are good. I have a tip. If you can print your Easy ID Number on line (they allow you to print a temporary card) there is a designated line. When I went there were about 30 people in line.
The problem we had was the extreme shortage of cars in the area and we didn't have much of a choice but to go with what they told us. The base rental fee would be $201, the insurance would be an additional $150. Total before taxes would be $351. After taxes, the cost went to $464.99. Taxes came to 33%.

I rented a 2019 Toyota Forerunner with Payless while in Denver this week 18 -22 August had a smooth check in/return with the best rate. My husband scoffed at me when I told him the name. He’s an avid Avis renter. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

People on the forum say oh I got a great deal and many times they are until you get to the rental counter and find out they charge for an extra driver.
The Payless counter is not located inside the terminal, as is the case with other car rental companies at Denver. The problem is that once we got to the offsite counter we realized there was an extremely long wait, with no chance to walk over to another company without returning to the terminal via shuttle and taking a different shuttle.
