For picking up car rentals at MCO, for car companies such as Alamo or Dollar, are they located onsite, i.e. walk to cars, or do we need to take a shuttle to the car rental companies off site locaiton or to a car rental center? Thanks.

Answer 1 of 18: Hi folks - We're planning on our first visit to Florida in September and we love to travel around. Unfortunately, I'm finding a lot of car rental agencies that won't permit you to take the car out of the state.
Enterprise has a "pick you up and bring you to their office" service. Budget has a location at the Holiday Inn near Universal on Kirkman Rd. Avis has a location at the Doubletree Hotel near Universal on Major Blvd.

Alamo and National are the same company-we prefer Alamo,they seem to have more cars for some reason.The kiosks they have are very handy and if you join the loyalty programs,you stand in a special line. Hertz tends to be expensive and Dollar has kind of run down cars. We usually rent on Hotwire,really cheap,usually get Alamo.
