There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.

   Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.

   Book the flights direct with Delta, if you are comfortable with the price and schedule. Delta partners with Hertz, so will probably send you a discount code for a Hertz rental. Also, car rental rates fluctuate all the time, so book the best fully cancelable rate you can find and then watch the prices to see if they go down.
