Costco package is about $500 cheaper PLUS Costco gives you a credit to use of about $200. Also when we do Costco for car rental it is about $100 cheaper than booking direct with car companies.
Lots of people seem to book vacation packages to Maui through Costco. From what we hear on the forum most are very happy with the experience. Just returned from Maui using Costco for hotel/ full size rental car package for 7 days. Used points for flights. Stayed in Lahaina Shores resort in mountain view premier room. $1675 for the package including all the fees and taxes. For production imported gifts the Longs at the Lahaina Cannery Mall will have local food products, local wine , magnets, calenders , key chains etc.
Re: Hotel choices in a package deal. Mar 30, 2024, 6:46 PM. I found very few dates in August-Sept at Napili Kai where an Ocean View studio is available. One I found is Sept 2-9 for $3976 with a $129 Costco GC, $150 dining credit, and rental car. The same room directly from NK is $4068 without the car and other credits.
Answer 11 of 15: I was reading the latest Costco magazine that came in the mail last night, and there was an article in there about Costco Travel offering just a hotel deal. You don't have to book a package anymore, with or without car.
