I want to purchase a Panasonic headphone for an international flight I'm looking to take shortly on United Airlines. I've heard others say that typically a standard airline adapter has 2 pins of equal size but on United Airlines, you seem to need an adapter where the 2 pins are different sizes Can anybody let me know if that is true and in which case, suggest what adapter to buy?
In that case, no problem to watch on the phone but an external bluetooth device is needed for computer/tablet. One advantage of the bluetooth route is that you can turn off the external mics, or leave one on to hear announcements; your choice.

It's a bit fiddly to get the balance in both ears, try pushing it partly into the socket until it balances out. I also prefer to use my own headphones.
