For picking up car rentals at MCO, for car companies such as Alamo or Dollar, are they located onsite, i.e. walk to cars, or do we need to take a shuttle to the car rental companies off site locaiton or to a car rental center? Last month, we rented a car from Budget at the Orlando airport for a one way trip up to St. Augustine.We made it 40 miles and the car broke down on I-4. We called the rental car roadside assistance at 9:00 am (having taken a redeye) and were told that the tow truck would be there between 11:20 and 11:50 and they would tow the car back to the airport and give us an Uber credit for a ride up to ...

Join the "club" of whatever car rental company you choose and make sure your club membership number is part of your rental record. This will often allow you to bypass the line at the counter in the terminal and go to either a staffed kiosk where the cars are or just pick your car and complete the contract when you check out at the security gate.
