Most of the bigger shopping malls or super markets have an area where the sell glasses and lenses. J&J is also a common brand in China, so I guess it will not be too hard to find the ones you are looking for.

   The contact I use-- Accuvue2's-- are readily available here.. The supply sold here are all made in Ireland or Japan and imported to Thailand.. I've checked with Johnson & Johnson (the parent company and manufacturer of Accuve lenses) in the past to determine the legitimacy of the product.

   My previous visit to Hokkaido with the permanent soft contact lenses and also had no problems. Of course there would always be special cases. I know of a friend who cannot wear contact lenses at all because she has a dry eye condition. If concerned, bring along your glasses.
